The Uncommon Belote Rules
Belote A La Vache is a variation of Belote.
The difference lies in the choice of the trump card, there is only one turn and if no one "takes" the dealer must choose a color.
The first duo to achieve the number of points set at the start of the game wins.
Unique Bidding Rules
- Players evaluate their cards and take turns to bid or pass, starting with the player to the left of the dealer.
- Bidding determines the trump suit or whether there is no trump ("No Trump").
- Players can bid, pass, double (increase points), or re-double (increase points again). If all pass twice, the dealer must bid.
A Variety Of Combinations
Three types of combinations: 4 cards of the same rank ("Carré"), sequences of 3-8 same-suit cards ("Terce", "Quarte," "Quinte"), and "Belote". The player holding "Belote" (King and Queen of trump suit) gets 20 points.
